What’s going on in the world of retail I hear you ask???

The answer is lots! It’s the busiest time of the year across all of our brands as we approach the ‘C’ word.

Equine Superstore is all ready for the craziness of Black Friday followed by our 12 days of Christmas campaign – both designed to give our customers the best offers in the run up to Christmas and help us shift some volume. The guys in the warehouse will be going full tilt to get the parcels out the door in time for Christmas. If you want to take advantage of any of the great bargains on offer please see Kim on the retail pod and she can help you out.

UpCountry is also motoring towards Christmas – many of you attended the Christmas launch event in October and saw the amazing display that Jason and the team have put together – crowned by the sights and sounds of the Upcountry Steam Train. Customer feedback has been overwhelming, with old and young loving the display. I would like to invite you to come and visit again, or for the first time, on the 30th Nov or 1st Dec for our festive weekend where we will be welcoming the main man himself, Santa, to the centre for the first time. Bring your children or grandchildren to see him, get a gift, and give a donation to St Peter & St James Hospice – it’s set to be a magical weekend.

China!

China! Planning for next year went up a gear as Sam and I boarded a plane to the far East, to Guangzhou to be precise,  where we visited the world’s largest trade show – accommodating over 25,000 exhibitors selling everything you could ever imagine. We looked at all things gardening and Christmas and came away looking to import some plant pots and garden furniture. We also experienced the Chinese culture in a big way – whether its was the boiled or fried chicken feet on every street corner or the state of the art metro system, the world’s 4th tallest building, it is a country that takes your breath away.

As a reminder to all, you can get a discount in all our retail outlets, either pop into the garden centre or cafe to claim your discount or if its from one of our ecommerce brands, please see Kim who can advise on how to get a discount on most of our online products.
